The ships from various countries en route to Gaza are part of a totally unarmed, humanitarian aid effort.
Those ships are loaded with medical supplies that the people of Gaza are deprived of because of the blockade, and with construction materials in order to re-build housing to the people of Gaza whose homes were demolished during attacks to Gaza.
Around a thousand unarmed humanitarian aid volunteers have taken up the responsibility to deliver these materials to Gaza, in the name of us, the citizens of international society who believe in peace and justice.
The load of those ships is entrusted to us and the volunteers of peace are our brothers and sisters .
We declare that we will consider any kind of attack on the ships as an attack to our brothers and we will not tolerate it.
We, the citizens of international society from different countries, different nationalities, cultures and religions; have come together in the face of inhuman practices against our brothers and sisters in Gaza, and we stand as witnesses that the ships carry only humanitarian aid and volunteers for peace.
The ships will arrive at Gaza using international waters and Gaza waters. Any political or military intervention to these ships from any authority other than Gaza’s legal administration will be illegal and a crime against International law.
We will not excuse the smallest harm done to the load in the ships or to our brothers and sisters either due to negligence or to malevolence.
We invite our own governments to secure the safety of our ships carrying the materials and our brothers to Gaza, and the Israeli government to immediately end its inhuman intentions against the ships.
For these ships and their course are a compass that shows the direction to humanity .
